FINDING
We run events throughout the term that our members have the opportunity to invite their friends to, such as quiz nights, game night, music evenings etc. The event will include a gospel talk or testimony. We also attend many of the events in the church calendar.
We also seek to be an active presence on campus, especially during Welcome Week, and we can often be found on campus flyering for events or engaging in cold-contact evangelism.
FEEDING
We meet on a Tuesday evening during term time for fellowship, food and Bible Study. We gather as a whole group to study a book of the Bible over the course of a term, and spend time praying for each other and sharing in fellowship.
We also meet in smaller groups throughout the week to study a Christian book together to grow our love for Christ and for each other, and to encourage and build each other up in the faith.
We enjoy meeting together after the Sunday evening service (8-9.30pm) to dig deeper into what we have just heard preached, that we might seek to apply God’s Word to our hearts and minds over the coming week.
SENDING
We’re passionate about seeing more and more students come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and it’s our desire that the members of Rooted in Christ would share this passion in increasing measure. Throughout the year, we seek to equip and galvanise the students to be reaching their friends and coursemates on the university campus.
It’s our prayer that this passion would continue long after they leave university. It’s also our desire that every member of Rooted in Christ is serving the Church family during their time at university, so that after leaving student life, they will be committed to serving God’s people wherever they go.
