1a) What have we been given for us to remain confident that Jesus’ promises will come to pass? 1b) What causes us to doubt or lack confidence about Jesus’ return?

2a) 25 out of 27 NT books mention the return of Jesus. What should this stark proportion tell us about the importance of this cosmic event? 2b) How is this event shaping your thinking and acting?

3) How does ‘scoffing’ manifest itself in our day? What should our response to them be?

4) We worship a God who is patient and slow to anger. What should our response be to this knowledge of God?

5a) Why did God include in His Word graphic and grave pictures of His judgment? 5b) What are His purposes in describing His judgment in such terms?
