1 Peter 1:22-2:3 – An Imperishable Love
Why am I surrounded by fools?!
Born to Love (1:22-23)
Love that is sincere
Love that is deep
Love that is pure
Empowered to Love (1:22-25)
Released from that which entangles
Recharged by that which endures
Grow in Love (2:1-3)
Stunting the growth of love – Cruel (2:1)
Nourishing the growth of love – Crave (2:2-3)
How can you foster a love that is sincere in your life? In what ways could you deepen your love for fellow believers? How can your love be refined is that it is pure (from the heart)? What sins are entangling your life so that you cannot love as you ought? How will you deal with them? What is the connection between God’s truth residing in us and God’s love flowing from us? Can you identify any ways that you are stunting the growth of love in your life? How would you evaluate your desire for God’s word at present in your life?
